Prof. Dr. Shirin Akhter passed MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College in 1994 and served with distinction for 17 years at Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College and Hospital.

She obtained FCPS (Obs & Gynecology) degree from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2011.

In addition to obtaining a higher degree, She received advanced training in obstetrics and gynecology from various medical colleges in the country and in 2013, She received training in ‘Basic Laparoscopic training in Gynaecology’.

Several articles have been published in national medical Journal.

She is capable of managing any acute emergency condition and performing various operations. She is also particularly experienced in the field of infertility and wants to continue working on this subject. She is a life member of BCPS and OGSB.

Currently, She is working as an professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dhaka Central International Medical College and Hospital.
